I'm 160-165 pounds, 5'10'', 15 years old.
If I'm going to be spending like 4 hours running each day, do I need to worry about what I eat?
When I get home from lacrosse I get mad hungry and eat everything I see then go to sleep. Will I still lose weight?
I want this to be my cutting phase before the summer so I can bulk without too much fat already on. I just want to make sure I'm eating enough so I have enough energy for lacrosse.

Hey a month ago i went for a diet and its all doing good, im nearly coming to my goal of loosing 25 lbs ( Started 180, 165 atm) So yeah i stopped drinking my protein shake after i train,

Should i restart taking it? ( Im 15) I do '300 workout'training every 2 days and i do MMA sparring on for 1 hours I cardio everyday

Whats your opinion?

protein shakes after strength workouts are essential. I recommend muscle milk for bulking or optimum 100% whey for cutting.

m1t? heard of it..

thoughts?

also zma?

m1t isn't legal anymore...it was one the banned pro-hormones in the U.S. - when it was out, it was very effective, but dangerous to the liver and kidneys. I would not recommend it for obvious reasons.

As for ZMA - I take it every night. ZMA is a great part of anyone's pre-bedtime "sleep stack"

Good supps to take before bed include:

Arginine+Ornithine
BCAA's
Vitamin C
Multi Mineral
ZMA
Melatonin
Mucuna pruriens
GABA

ZMA itself is great for GH release and recovery during sleep - I definitely recommend this.

I don't like scammers.

I don't want to help you, but for the sake of the board I will.

Anyone, regardless of how much exercise they do, has to be careful what they eat. The key is to eat complex carbs in the early part of the day and half way through the day switch over to only protein and fats (some veggies are ok). This will prevent glycogen from being stored after physical activity is performed - and thus will force the body to burn from the existing fat stores. During a cutting cycle, only the first 1-2 meals should have any carbs at all (complex). After that, all protein and fat with some veggies for optimal results.

Is it a good or bad thing to drink a Protein shake after the training before less than 1 hour before sleeping?

you shouldn't be working out right before you sleep.

you need a good time slot (something like atleast 3 hours?) from the time you train till the time you sleep

you train less than 1 hour before sleeping? That in and of itself isn't good - however...

its perfectly fine to have a shake right after a workout....or right before bed...or in this case both.
