Hey there.

Get the 5,000 iu.

The human body can handle upwards of 15,000 iu of vitamin d per day without ANY potential negative effects.

However, you want to shoot for around 5-6K per day for maintaining overall health and so forth.

I usually take 5,000 iu + OT + food + sunlight per day.

Okay cool, would you deem blood work at all necessary. I heard that you should try and shoot for a certain number in blood... 60-70 ng/ml of 25-hydroxy vitamin D, to be more precise.

Oh, and also should I be taking Calcium along with it. I don't have a hell of a lot of it in my diet and I don't drink milk (cuz it's for babies ofc) so should I pop a couple of calcium pills (we already have some..300mg/tab)

First of all, Darkblue, please do NOT reply to other people's questions in here...thanks for understanding.

You made those gains in 2 months and 2 weeks? Are you kidding me? If not...those are EPIC gains. That is a HUGE improvement for such a short period of time on so many lifts. There is a very easy way to detect muscle increases. Take your bodyfat % before and after. In other words, take your body fat % today along with your body weight. Then in say...4 weeks, take the body fat % and weight again. Each time you will subtract the % of bf from your total weight...to get your lean mass...example....170 lbs at 10% bf = 17 lbs of fat total. Lean mass would be 170-17 = 153 lbs. Then assume 4 weeks later you were 12% bf at 200 lbs. That would mean...12% of 200 = 24 lbs....200 - 24 = 176 lbs lean mass. So technically the total weight of lean mass increased by 23 lbs. Unfortunately, lean mass INCLUDES water in this test. There is really no way to avoid that...but still, that is as good as you'll need.

Yeah ive had some pretty good motivation for lifting haha, that piled with beginner gains and having an athletic background really helped me out. And what would be an easy way to get BF %? Calipers would be the most convenient i assume but how accurate would you say they are?

Hey again, Raynor!

Regarding the 5x5 strenght plan -

I should go up 5% on every 5x5 lift every week, this is with all 5 set I add 5% more weight too right, not only the last? ^^

Just so I got this right!

Thanks in advance!

reAR delt flies on shoulder or back day?

I personally would prefer to see you do this on back day...as I personally like to hit rear delts with back day.

blood work is a good thing to get once a year just to check on your stats and see what's going on....but for just vitamin d? not necessary at all.

You should take some calcium/magnesium supplementation...I recommend NOW! Calmag (liquid)

Yes avoid that...instead you need to try...

STEVIA (truvia, purevia, or stevia in the raw brand)

its 100% natural and has no ill-effect on the body...but is also 0 cals

Hey Raynor.

How do you feel about the INSANITY Workout?
I'm going to do it this summer, and was wondering what your opinion on it is.

I started working out about 8 months ago, and have had good results since then.
I'm currently 6'1", 169lbs. 6.8% BF according to the Electric pulse meter they have at the gym I go to.
Only supplement I use is Whey, after working out.

Thanks a lot.
