When I need a spotter for bench I usually look for someone I know in the gym. When I can't find anyone I know, i look for one of the biggest guys and try to get them to spot me as I trust they've been doing this long enough that they will make a decent spotter..
None of the real big guys were in the gym, but there was a curl bro who i've seen bench quite a bit. I figured he would probably be a good spotter...made a huge mistake..
He never took his hands off the bar while i benched..so IDK how many reps were legit..
never again...
anyway, school is killing me right now. last deadlift session i REALLY focused on the tips i was given on fixing my dead lift form..felt a lot better but a little weaker...I'm definitely meant to sumo DL..but i'm sticking with conventional for now.
Happened to me before too many times. I even tell them don't touch it unless I fail.
So now I just pucker up my butthole and bench without a spotter (if gym partner isn't there).
