Doesn't matter how you slice it bro, working less is always better.
You can take the time to dissect every thing that may or may not be incorrect about my example, the point still makes sense.
The fact that you would call someone like me "Lazy scum" shows me that you are oozing with resentment and proves my point to be 100% correct. Educated guess here:L You are butt hurt and jealous that you are stuck slaving away at some shitty job you don't even like lol
Here in Canada, health care comes easy, I don't have to spend hardly a dime. I eat well, exercise, stay healthy, pay taxes, pay rent. Just like everyone else, I just do it more efficiently than you. Umad?
There is absolutely nothing stopping me from sleeping only 6 hours / night and getting an EVEN LARGER advantage over someone like you on a daily basis. So far your only argument is that you can work yourself into your grave to achieve the same thing I already have.
"Yeah well! I could just sleep less!" Yeah, no shit. ANd lose your hair / grow old before you're 40 and feel like a zombie every day of your life.
"Yeah well! I have more money!" Actually, you probably don't, if you are having to work that hard, chances are you were stupid enough to get yourself trapped in some kind of living situation where you purchased a bunch of material that you don't really need and have to slave yourself just to stay alive.
I mean I AM making an assumption here, but its a statistically responsible assumption that you use credit? Have fun paying 14% interest for the rest of your life on something that cost you 5 dollars, just because you'll never knock that balance off.
Even CEOs who are massively more successful than you and I are now promoting a 30 hour work week, it's catching on and I think it's fantastic that this world may be moving toward it.
Just fyi, I am going to debunk your points even further here:
There is absolutely zero science backing your claim that richer = living healthier / longer. If anything, it seems to be the opposite. Gluttony is KILLING millions of Americans / year and none of that accounts for hereditary disease which may automatically render my life strategy better than yours for the majority of people who are dying at around 71 in America.
And all of those years of zero work? You're sort of right, I did not account for that, but that's still only 18 years. So from 18-65, I am outliving you by 3 times or more.
You've also made the very bad assumption that my part time job is some random garbage mcdonalds position. I work for myself and make 30 / hour doing it, more than enough to live off of 4 days / week.
I also never tried to pretend that working at the job you love is the IDEAL situation. Did I not say that specifically, actually? I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that I said if you can find the job you love and over work it, you should. You seem to have misunderstood the entire purpose of my argument. My argument is that you should not get trapped inside a 40hr/week corporate grind that you hate. I am not Anti-work. I am Anti-slavery
Your move Dick Face
You're Canadian, entirely different situation from the US. I misread you, I am sorry. I can see a Canadian pulling that off, no way in hell that would work in america though.
