i used to intern at a company that sold document management software, primarily to hospitals. marketing would get the name out, then some dept (professional services? sales? marketing? idk) would organize webinars explaining the product, and the sales guys would talk to clients directly, go to them and demo it, etc. each sale was from 10k to 200k, depending on how large the client was. i remember in one of the annual meetings one of the guys grossed 1m in sales that year, the others didnt.
Thanks for the replies! Sorry if I seem like I'm hijacking the thread. So how difficult is it to get an entry level job in sales? I heart most jobs only require a high school diploma? I know that may not sound like much, but I feel like there's something more to sales cuz some people make some good cash.
