I saw a guy come into the gym once, skinny fucker, probably 6ft 1in, around 170lbs. he puts 4 45 plates on each side of the squat rack. i look over at my friend and im like "dude, look at this guy, probably never lifted before and completely overloading it, or he'll go down 2 inchs and rack it" So we watch this scrawn put it all up. 8 plates and some minor 5-10 lbs plates with the 45 lb bar. We're expecting to have to rush over in a moment to save this dude, and then...
He unracks it, takes a few steps back, and goes full ATG reps, like 8 or so of em, with solid form, and no show of it being hard (face wasnt all red, neck wasnt popping veins, he looked comfortable)
I was like, "WHAT THE FUCK?"
Then he was doing deadlifts with similar weight.
Thing is, he looked like he had never set foot in the gym before. It quite literally blew my fucking mind. Never had i seen anything like it, and still to this day, havent seen anything like it.
