Food poisoning.

I have not been able to keep anything down except small amounts of water for the past ~30 hours, is there anything special I can do to hurry the process along?

Two questions:

What's a good cardio jogging pace for someone that is 5'7"?

What's a reliable calculator or formula for daily calorie intake needed? I can't find consistency. Putting in the same stuff I've seen from 2200-2700 for me, but I know that there shouldn't be a difference that large with the same input.

Hey there. Thanks a lot, I appreciate the nice words =)

OK, the diet looks great for bulking...very good stuff.

Jet fuel can in fact be used for women, I recommend they take it, but instead of 3 caps, do 1-2 caps depending on weight, usually 2 caps.

Lastly, I have never used Jet Fuel Pyro...however I did some research on it a while ago and found that regular Jet Fuel seems to be a better product. Stick to the usual =)

So, since its good for bulking, is it also good for fat loss?

Thanks!

There are a few things that may help.

First is a homeopathic remedy called Arsenicum Album. It can be purchased at any local health food/vitamin store or whole foods or greenwise publix, etc.

Anyway, if you take the remedy, it can assist with the symptoms of food poisoning - usually within 3-6 hours of taking the first dose or two. When using it, don't take food or water within 20 minutes before and after taking it. Also it is best sublingual (under the tongue) until it dissolves.

Another option is to keep the water moving, the more water the better, even if you puke it back up. The goal is to flush out your body and the only way to achieve that is with water. However you are losing a lot of minerals in the process. To allievate that, you can drink a few gatorades as well. If you puke even after the water/gatorade, keep it going. The more you flush everything out,t he shorter the duration will be.

I know how terrible food poisoning is....hang in there!

This particular one should work nicely for you.

http://www.muscleandstrength.com/tools/bmr-and-daily-calorie-calculator.html

But that is just a "ballpark" estimate. The best thing to do is measure it for "lightly active" and then add your exercise in manually. To do that, assume that 1 hour of INTENSE physical activity (such as HIIT or hypertrophy training) will burn approximately 500-600 cals in that one hour. So take the figure from lightly active, and add the additional calories from your own exercise and figure accordingly. You can calorie adjust based on heavier days than others.

Moreover, for cardio jogging pace....it all depends. Usually a good pace to maintain is an 8 minute mile for any good distance of 2 miles or more. For a 1 mile straight run, the 5-6 minute mark should be the proper estimate. For a marathon, 9-10 minute miles are good.

The diet you posted me is assuredly not for fat loss.

here is your diet:

Quote (Celebrity)

3 eggs with low salt cheddar cheese on two pieces of wheat toast (take 2x Now Adam 1x gel cap here)

Workout arms for 1 hour and 15 minutes, then light cardio for 20 minutes since my ankles and knees have been bothering me for some reason.

1 Muscle milk (12oz) with strawberries

2 small pieces of steak some brocalli, and a baked potatoe with low salt cheddar cheese and sour cream

1 and 1/2 cans of tuna with olive oil mayonaise on two pieces of wheat bread with a whole medium sized tomatoe and 2 slices of cheese, and about 12 cherries.

1 muscle milk (12oz) with fruit, and some almonds.

1 cup cottage cheese with blueberries (Take NOW Adam 1x gel cap here)

The problem here for fat loss is the following:

if you want fat loss, you need to take the jet fuel in the morning on an empty stomach (20-30 mins BEFORE eating).

secondly, you would also want to replace the muscle milk with either NOW! Whey protein or Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex.

Thirdly, you would want to eliminate the baked potato with brown rice or sweet potato

Also you would want to eliminate all carbs after the 3rd meal of the deal....and increase green veggie intake.

Also the total calories here are pretty high for fat loss....not sure of your height/weight...but overall fairly high.

also do NOT take jet fuel before bed.

Awesome thank you very much. I need to build up stamina for the running, but I'm glad that I'm truly on a 1000+ calorie deficit. Hoping to be down to a good weight in no time!

Some people say on your workout day off eat whatever you want. Not that I would do this, but if I ate 10000~ calories would I gain 2lbs or is there a max to your body's fat production? I know some people's metabolisms are different, but does it kill you to fall of the wagon or is there some point of diminishing fat return?

Alright, so if I make those changes this diet will be good for fat loss and muscle gain?

Does whole grain pasta count in the same category as brown rice?

I am 5'10 203 20 years old (almost 21)

Thanks again!

Hey there.

in regard to fat gain, 3,500 cals surplus = 1 lb of bodyfat. However the human body can't process everything you throw at it, especially if it's in one sitting. As a result a lot of thing come into play - the types of foods (digestibility rates), the temperature of the foods, and the macro loadout of the foods (protein/fat/carbs). In addition your metabolism is a huge component of this process.

To make a long story short, if you are 10,000 cals in one day (this is VERY difficult to do, believe me lol) you wouldn't just gain a straight 2 lbs of fat. Instead it would be more like shocking the body and mostly a water weight gain with some residual fat over the next 48 hours (up to 1 lb).
