My cousin is in Grade 8, and wants to know some excercises and things he can do to burn off fat from upper body.
He's ~120 pounds, 5'2 (shorty).
If you need to know anything about him, lmk and I'll ask him.

And a question for me:

I played ball hockey for a few years now, and had no problems with my shins.
Now I got zig-tech? shoes since they are comfortable and all of a sudden they hurt.
Why does it happen, and how can I stop it?

Fat loss 15 tips

pick ONE of the two diets above...keto I recommend but it is much harder for someone to do who isn't used to it or willing to commit to such a change of diet.

The workouts are very effective and should be performed properly...no slacking.

let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

Thanks alot Ive just started on keto diet today :)

It is quite difficult mainly just preparing the meals.

Just a couple of questions. Will changing chicken for fish or beef for chicken etc effect the plan?

Also on the weekend I tend to drink a few beers usually 12+ on Friday or sat sometimes both
Obviously this wouldn't be recommended but it's kinda just what me and my mates do on the weekend.
By doing this am I wasting my time on this diet or will it still be beneficial?
maybe I should drink vodka or straight jacks instead lol

Hey raynor, the ankle seem to have gotten worse, especially after I take a nap or rest for a long time then try to walk. I can barely walk now, its like sharp pain when i walk... is this normal for a sprained ankle?

Hm...

in RARE cases that might happen...although for it to get progressively worse despite RICE means you might have something more complicated.

If the pain doesn't improve within 24 hours, please see a doctor...xrays might need to be taken.

Hey Raynor,

Shouldn't you work Chest and Triceps together and back and biceps together???

chest and triceps push, and back and biceps pull; wouldn't it be more effective that way?

Just something i wondered since your hypertrophy workout that im doing is chest/bi back/tri

No.

The reason for this is because when you are doing back, you are also hitting biceps....this means the biceps are pre-fatigued. If you train biceps the same day as back, they get a less efficient workout and thus do not have the potential to grow and improve strength at the same rate. It is better to work back and tris because the tris are totally fresh by the end of the grueling back workout, and thus they can take more punishment.

The pain you feel is probably shin splints. It is a normal fact of life for MOST people. The shoes can be causing it based on how they disperse weight throughout your foot/ankle/shin/knee.

You need to do one of several things:

1. Work through it and eventually the shins calcify and the pain goes away
2. RICE method after training (rest/ice/compression elevation) which relieves immediate problems
3. Buy a special shin splint brace and wear them regularly when doing physical activity
4. New shoes - try new balance, they make shoes specially designed for shin splints.

That will not make a difference.

Keep your vitamin C levels high and your EFA levels high.

Both of those help with inflammation.

In addition, make sure you drink enough water and take ibuprofen as necessary.

Hey there.

First of all, on keto you can substitute any meat for any meat...just pay attention to the total calories as well as the fat/protein of each. Also make sure that it is not prepared in a sauce or with breading that has carbs in it

Secondly, as far as alcohol goes - you really need to avoid BEER at all costs...that is loaded with carbs and will destroy you on keto...very high calorie also.

To substitute you should try either Vodka or Whiskey neat (meaning without anything else), or mixed with diet soda (MUST be diet) or PLAIN (no sugar) soda water.

Each drink should have around 60 cals, so either way watch your total consumption...but that will NOT set you out of keto.

Remember, if you choose to mix the vodka/whiskey with something...it must be DIET or plain soda water (no regular sodas like coke/sprite...just diet)
