keto = ketosis.

When the body is deprived of carbohydrates, it produces ketones which convert it's energy breakdown material from glycogen (sugar) to fat instead.

Essentially ketones are responsible for the body using fat stores for energy rather than glycogen stores.

The result is always the same, Much more rapid fat loss, preserved muscle (compared to traditional dieting), and a vast array of positive health effects including reduced blood pressure, increased energy, decreased cholesterol levels (assuming you maintain proper sat to unsat fat), reduced effects of diabetes (if applicable), and lower rates of certain types of diseases such as specifics cancers and alzheimers.

Hey Raynor, I've loss my appetite big time recently, I'm just going to copy/paste what I posted in the thread I created. Maybe your expertise can help me here. :)

182 lbs 6'1 last time I checked.
Yesterday all I had were a medium thing of fries from my school cafeteria and like 1/3 of a plate of pasta (I last had this at like 5:00pm). Nothing else.
Today at 12:00pm (almost a whole day later after not eating I made 1 tuna sandwich and I could not even finish it.
I am drinking a bit less than usual. But not all that much.

I've never lost my appetite before, especially not like this.
Everything in my life is going fine, I'm not depressed. In fact, I'm more happy than usual.
Any causes you guys could think of? I'm on medication, but I have been on it since like February, so I am assuming that cannot be the case here.
I have not been going to the gym for the past 2 weeks as it's been really busy for me and I am taking a small break. So I was thinking maybe that is why I just loss my appetite.

Several things...

first of all, you are starving yourself.

Secondly you are nutrition deprived. Fries and pasta? Then eating nothing until a tuna sandwich? Are you trying to kill yourself?

You need a total revamp of your diet my friend....for your own good.

Also yes, medications can start having that effect as time goes on....please follow these below:

I can't eat if I have no appetite. I could not even finish my tuna sandwich I made 1 hour ago. I got full then felt sick when I was trying to finish it.
I'm not purposely starving myself. Just a couple days ago I was eating normally (2,000+ calories)
I can't revamp my diet if I have no appetite. It's why I was trying to find a cause to my loss of it.

Now that I think of it. Earlier this week when I was taking my vitamins (Multi, fish oil, C, B, D, E) I was feeling sick shortly after for a good couple hours. And it was ONLY after I took them.
I stopped since Wednesday and in the mornings I feel fine. But I think since I stopped (Wednesday), that's when I first started to feel the loss of appetite.

I think it's just something I need to go to the doctor for, but either way, just thought I'd post and see what other people thought.

you need to be eating smaller meals more frequently...please read the things I posted for you.

You need to FORCE yourself to eat 6 small meals a day....

before you know it, your appetite will return full force.

also make sure to drink 1-2 gal of water per day

you DO NOT need to go to the doctor for this.

continue taking your vitamins as usual, but take them with meals to alleviate this problem.

Ok. I'll see what I can do about force feeding myself. I was thinking I had to anyway, so I shall do that.
About the vitamins thing. I hardly ever have a breakfast, especially recently so I am taking the vitamins on an empty stomach as of late. Which might be the cause for my problem.
And I live in Canada, so I am never worried/holding back from attending my doctor. ;)
