Just had to make sure. This is jsp after all.
A broscientist can talk a lot of shit.
What info do u have on static contractions and the verdict.
Should they be incorporated into your routine or don't bother
Static contractions have been used for a VERY long time to break out of slumps and bring down the walls you might hit during regular training.
In order for this to work though, they must ONLY be used when you plateau - as you body will become accustomed to any type of training if performed frequently enough.
I recommend that you keep static contractions in your bag of tricks for when a major muscle group starts to stall in regards to growth. Bench Press (smith), Leg Press, preacher curl machine, Cable tricep pulldowns, and cable row machines are all very good choices for using static contractions. The reason for this is that all of them are not only safe for such a large increase of weight, but also have the ability to support the very slight ROM you will be applying.
So to answer your question - incorporate it into the daily routine? NO.
But use it when needed to break a barrier? YES!
