In this case, more protein is better...2g/lb bodyweight is fine. There really is no limit to how much you can eat....as long as you feel okay eating it...the problem happens when you start feeling sick - then you've had too much. The rule is at least 1-1.5g/lb MINIMUM - more is perfectly fine.

Is it even possible to eat that much protein from normal foods? I eat a lot but still i dont think i eat over 80-100 g a day

I just got done eating a 9 ounce steak and a 6 ounce piece of chicken after my workout with a whole head of broccoli. All of it was covered in olive oil and butter. The total protein/fat/carb ratio is as follows:

80g protein, 30g fat, 0g carbs.


The only time such a huge amount of protein is acceptable is post workout and when it is mixed half fast protein and half slow protein (chicken is pretty fast...2-3 hours, red meat is 6-8 hours).

However, even at 40g per meal, 6 meals x 40g = 240g / day...which is a very easily attained number NOT including shakes !

Just wondering what your opinion this was..

I'm bulking and my chest is my weak spot, so I do it trice a week (mondays and thrusdays)
I go to the gym monday-thursday because its the only time I can make it.

If I working on my chest twice a week, will I overtrain?

Not necessarilly....however if you are going mon-thurs you will....you need to separate it at least 3 days apart (aka- mon and fri).

To do this, do your routine as usual but on friday/sat do 10-12 sets of failure reps of pushups at home with alternating hand positions (wide, narrow, diamond, high, low, etc).

So are you saying still do my chest monday and thrusday as well as pushuips on friday or saturday?

moday i did squats an leg curls calves abs

tuesday i did bench presses an flies

wendsday i did back bis calves

thursday i did
shrugs, rear delt flies, regualer shourlder flies, over head presses, some tricepts

friday
what should i do today?

i m thinkin forearms and otherstuff??

i know i should take rest in between but i just take the weekends off

not at all..

DO NOT DO IT UNLESS THERE ARE 3 days (MIN) between the workouts!


So to compensate that...do your REGULAR routine (1 chest workout) - then on friday....do the pushups.
