you've gotten completely off track with all this nitpicking.

i asked another dude why not take gaba

you said it doesn't pass bbb

i provide studies which show that gaba interacts w/ the hypothalamus and therefore the pituitary (driving force of the endocrine system)

then you and your buddies come in arguing about something else entirely.

stay on track. gaba = good. gaba doesn't need to pass the bbb to affect the endocrine system. plain and simple.

this is a thread on supplements. not on who can argue better.

I couldn't open any of those studies because it was denying my account.

I want to know if any of those studies are talking about orally administered GABA and not GABA injected directly into the brain systematically.

Referring to the interaction with the hypothalamus.....or periventricular nucleus.

hmm. iunno then, i dont buy vitamins but hear yall talking about dropping 2-300 per shop all the time. at any rate thats still a fuck ton of money. and im used to the prices of vitamins from a source i know where the average price per bottle is around 25 bucks. so thats how i gauged my number.

Yes, vitamins are usually cheap, but I was meaning rather to the huge ass amount of whey protein people in this forum take in daily + preworkouts, postworkouts, creatine, BCAA, and what not... WTF

Add also the money people are spending on food on a weekly basis. I remember some thread a guy did a months ago asking this, and some guys answered with amounts ranging from 100 to 300$ a week lmfao

ya. well if you get quality vitamins then the prices will be higher for stuff. with some of these guys i could see the price of food per week easily getting to that point. shit with the amount of lean beef and chicken some of these guys consume daily its ridiculous. imo if youre a pro BB or someone doing it competitely thats fine, but for the average guy thats just trying to put on some weight and get bigger, i dont see why you would go to the extreme of doing it.

U kidding me? all those vitamins are like $5-$6 a bottle.... 1k lol

That shit is all cheap compared to protein.... Thats the only expensive thing I actually buy...
Lol, this.
Most of those are like $5-8 a bottle; some are like $3. The fish oil is the most expensive thing (bb.com, 3x 500 count bottles for like $50).

As for the iron: cause, need moar.
As for the 5-HTP: it's not an every single night thing. Just here and there for when I know I'm able to sleep in; otherwise, it'll leave me waking up groggy. The point is deeper sleep. I get that. If it works, why 'fix' it?

Only powders I'm using at the moment are creatine monohydrate, maltodextrin, gatorade mix (lulz)--all of which are very cheap when bought in bulk--and whey; would be taking casein, but stuff has gotten pricey. Might even replace whey in the near future for a cheaper alternative...
Oh, and I have glucosamine and choline--both also mega cheap.
Not pictured are caffeine capsules, as pre-workout.

wel fuck me. just wrote like 3 paragraphs and pushed the back button >_< here's a shorter version cuz i'm not writing all that shit up again.

are you asking whether or not they performed open brain surgery, extracting their ecf, then performed a spectroscopy of it before and after gaba was delivered orally? then no. that would be the only way to determine it's direct effect.

it's not some potential carcinogen. gaba is already present in massive quantities w/out the supplement. there's no danger in taking it. i could easily find you a study that does deal with the supplement however. unfortunately any study about a supplement is not credible. there is way too much money to be made or lost.

instead the mechanisms are studied. for instance gaba interacting with the hypothalamus will lead to this or that intermediate. as a result inhibitory mechanisms take place etc etc.

The picture doesn't have any of my powers in it.
Those are just bottles of pills. Vitamins & minerals and extracts. Calcium, magnesium, vitamin-c, green tea extract, zinc, vitamin-a, etc..

what's your daily protein intake?
Around 450-475 on an average day.

EDIT: Oh! And I forgot about my b-vitamin complex for pre-workout with the caffeine.
Okay...I think I've hit everything now...lol
