Hey Ray... question..

When cooking Pasta or Rice... ( boiling)  i always put olive oil in with  the pasta or rice and let it boil on medium-high for 10min....

should i wait till after i boil/cook it to put the olive oil in?

is the boiling bad for the olive oil?

thanks

add the olive oil AFTER cooking. If you add it into the water, you will lose 95% of the oil, as oil rises to the top of water (it is hydrophobic)

hey there.. so i had an injury.. doctor found some wounds in my stomach (stomach/gastric ulcer ?) and i can't lift weights for like 3 months.. he said i can jog, bike and do some basic body weight exercises like pull ups, push ups and so on.. what should i do.. :(

Do exactly what your doctor said. Go really light and avoid anything with your abs.

Stick to a basic regimen of something like this:

Day 1 - 45 minutes biking 15 minutes of squats, lunges, and calf raises (body weight only)
Day 2 - REST
Day 3 - 45 minutes of jogging + 15 minutes of pushups (close grip and wide grip), as well as chair dips (body weight only)
Day 4 - REST
Day 5 - 45 minutes of biking + 15 minutes of pullups (both overhand and underhand)
Day 6 - REST
Day 7 - Repeat Day 1

etc.

Just perform as many reps/sets as you can do in 15 minutes of the pushups, pullups, dips, squats, lunges, calf raises.

Tried out that grip, it was really good!

Now I can deadlift till my back can't do more.

Does this grip work with Barbell Shrugs too?

Because, when I do them, those are also really heavy for my grip.

Yes it does work for shrugs also!

hey what do oyu think of the future of nutritionists as a profession?

Good profession, a lot of need for it especially at the rehabilitation level. You can make some good money doing this. Get your personal training cert also for added potential

here is a link you can watch it from : http://www.sprword.com/videos/foodmatters/

I found it very informative and interesting, and worth the watch if you're interested in nutrition. If you do decide to watch it let me know your thoughts and opinions !

I just watched the trailer. I will watch the video when I can.

However it seems the video is on target. Nothing new though - just made more mainstream for people to understand.

The key component of being healthy is to eat clean, chemical/additive free, non-processed, balanced, whole foods.....drink clean water....and avoid abusing any drugs (that means alcohol, tobacco, PRESCRIPTION meds, illicit drugs, etc.) This also would include frequent exercise, enough sleep, proper supplementation, avoiding allergens, reducing stress, meditating, and seeking alternative treatments for common ailments (chiropractic is especially effective).

I mean this is all really just common sense....at least I feel that it is.
