Working out in the morning or at night which is more beneficial?

Bother are the same. It depends on when YOU function the best. However, you want to be able to work out far enough away from bed that you can get a restful night of sleep.

alright suweet :)

did it today, workout went jst fine!

is there ne thing else i could do to help minimize muscle loss while doing these "fasted" workouts? (bcaas, maybe some glutamine? tc)

i read up on it a little bit an wat i got out of it was since it is a catabolic state, ur body will use muscle as energy too...

On keto that is greatly minimized because the body uses FAT as energy, and not glycogen. So once you get back into keto, your body will eat fat and spare muscle.

However - BCAA's are the BEST thing you can do - use them before/during/after workout, and between meals if necessary

its me again :D

lol sorry, but this guy at the gym was talking about the product Xtend,  basically it seems like its jst another form of BCAAs but also contains L-Glutamine and Citrulline Malate.

i guess i cld jst stick with my BCAA 1000 from ON, and then buy a seperate bottle of Glutamine....

heres a link..

Avoid.

It's a gimmicky product that uses copious amounts of artificial sugar (sucralose) and artificial colors/flavors. I would AVOID this product, or any other Pre-WO product. Always stick to your own blends.

Example, black coffee + bcaa's for pre-workout, and glutamine + whey protein isolate for post-workout.

When doing chest, my shoulders have been killing me.  They burn like a mother fucker when I do cables and DB press.

Would sticking to low reps(no more than 5) be a good idea?

BURNING is good....pain is bad.

If you feel burn, those muscle fibers are getting torn down and going to be built back up.

Embrace the burn. Yield to the pain.

If you feel pain, change positions. Lower reps would mean you must go much heavier, this will result in an equal if not greater burn lol.

Hey Ray... question..

When cooking Pasta or Rice... ( boiling) i always put olive oil in with the pasta or rice and let it boil on medium-high for 10min....

should i wait till after i boil/cook it to put the olive oil in?

is the boiling bad for the olive oil?

thanks

To fix your deadlift issue, you can try two things.

1. Try the over-under grip like this

2. Try using lifting straps like these:

Tried out that grip, it was really good!

Now I can deadlift till my back can't do more.

Does this grip work with Barbell Shrugs too?

Because, when I do them, those are also really heavy for my grip.
