I chose a mild one for the decreased risk of side effects since I'm working and doing summer classes at the same time and don't need lethargy to make me pass out in class or at work dead tired. Even though it's still mild many people see 8-15 lb increases in 4 weeks....and can keep most of that with a good PCT.
The only stuff I had to buy was milk thistle, coenzyme Q10 (I just took this from Target where I work), Nolva, and Tribulus.
so far, week 1 of pct done, and really haven't lost much at all. (weighed in after 2 MASSIVE dumps at 169)
From what I hear, using a very mild PH for your first is a very good idea. Even if it's the only one you use. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to advertise that stuff, that would be a big no-no imo.
@peachie; I wouldn't exactly categorize ph's in one group. in terms of side effects, they can vary greatly. and lots of gains doesn't always have to require lots of side effects.
