TIP OF THE DAY:

For a healthy alternative to artificial sweeteners, try Xylitol which has about 50% less calories than sugar, and has virtually ZERO IMPACT on your body's glycemic response. It has also been shown to promote faster metabolism, help the body fight infection, and help produce additional white blood cells. Some studies have concluded that xylitol has a positive impact against cancer - but no definitive proof has been concluded.

Probably a simple question, but:

I hear a lot of people here go to their gym almost every day, but when i have trained one day, and go again the next day, i get way lower results. Should i train less or?
now only when i keep one day of rest between my workouts i can have a good training

I wish I had the same thing....however obviously there really isn't such things.

best thing is working out, eating right, and having the company of one or several good women in your life....thats the best way to raise spirits...at least for me.

hey there -

well first of all I'm very sorry to say the way you've gone about things is totally wrong. Starvation will make you lose fat initially...but after you start eating again you are going to gain it all back and then some because of how destroyed your metabolism will be.

Also, you certainly should care about your strength and muscle mass...the more muscle mass you have, the more your body's basal metabolism calorie requirements. In addition, if you are doing MMA, every bit of strength counts.

So here's what you have to do if you are serious about this.

Start eating...but eliminate virtually all carbohydrates. You are going to do an animal plan.

Meal 1 (eat within first 15 mins of waking) - 1 half grapefruit, 3 eggs, 1 serving of cheese or yogurt

Meal 2 - 1 whole chicken breast on top of a salad

Meal 3 - 4 ounces of Turkey with 1 ounce of cheese

Meal 4 - 1 Protein shake (Whey Isolate - any brand)

Meal 5 - 1 whole chicken breast with broccoli

Meal 6 - 1 cup of cottage cheese and mixed nuts

Drink 1 gal of spring water every day

*NO SUGAR*
*KEEP SODIUM UNDER 2,000 MG / day*
*DRINK COFFEE OR TEA AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE*
*NO CARBS*

Exercise:

DO at least 2 hours of intense exercise per day - split with weights and cardio. You should be hitting an hour of weights and an hour of cardio RIGHT afterwards.

Stick to standard 1 muscle group per day workouts with at least 5 days on and 2 days off...6 days on and 1 day off can be better.

Take multivitamins, fish oil (with every meal), and try jet-fuel or lipo-6 as a good fat burner and metabo enhancer.

This WILL work. I guarantee it. I've trained a lot of MMA guys who try to make weight class.

everyone is different...however..if you have adequate nutrition you should be able to lift at least 5 days a week without problem.

It might be the types of workouts you are doing. Only work one major muscle group per week -

ex:

mon - chest/abs
tues - back/calves
weds - legs/forearms
thurs - shoulders/abs
fri - biceps/triceps

Low calorie sweetener and the body doesn't break it down thus saving energy is all I know about it. I'm curious as well about it
