Try it out with DXM/DEXA to see lean mass, water and fat.

No, not even. Have you ever heard of leg striation before? I'm pretty sure it's one of the last things you get while leaning out. If you get leg striations, that's how you know you're EXTREMELY lean. Anyone vouch me!?

Not quite. It's just like the fact that SOME people don't hold much in their lower ab region while MOST usually do.

I would say striated glutes are one of the last things you get when becoming VERY lean. But it can still differ from person to person.
