Just wondering if you can recommend any help of any sort towards this. Already when to an sports specialist and he said too just get shoe inserts and wait and it will eventually heal. Been about 4-5 months since i was able to run. Started doing the elliptical last week every other day for 20-30 mins. Was fine but yesterday i had the same pain again. Called the dr and he said to do the same again. Was gonna order a patella tendon knee strap to see if that helps. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Considering how long you've had pain, rest/ice/compression/elevation is no longer applicable.

There are a few possible methods that will work now, and unfortunately one of them is surgery.

I would highly recommend seeing a SPORTS MEDICINE DOCTOR for this. They specialize in treating injuries like this. Your current doctor (not sure of his specialty) seems unsure of the proper treatment for this. Honestly I would recommend giving the knee strap a try, but it probably won't do much in the way of a permanent fix.

After you see a sports medicine doctor, they will give you some options including plasma injections, surgery, or alternative treatments.

I also suggest you google sports medicine doctors in your area and see how they are rated.

Hey raynor, I got another question for ya.. My friend has been my workout buddy now since I first talked to you.. Its weird though, because he weighs a solid 195.. He's 6ft tall, and its obvious he has a little bit of pudge that he wants to get rid of.. I know he got down to 170 last summer time, but he hasnt been able to cut any weight off as of yet.. The problem here is that he has a very busy schedule, he owns his own pest control company, and never has time to stop... Besides the CKD, is their any other dieting tips you could throw his way? I talked to him about it, and he said he really just doesnt have time to prepare or eat 5-6 meals a day..

edit: He eats average too, like he isnt a concious eater like I am, like he'll eat some pizza without worrying about it.

post up a pic of yourself and I'll let you know if it's about right or not.

With the calipers, you have to not push down THAT hard either...just hard enough to hear the click.

lmao

post-game icing DOES help...you can also try to use an analgesic like biofreeze or icyhot.

edit: also traumeel

Hello.

First of all, refrain from posting your comments here. This is not a place to start bickering or offering your observations/points of view. This thread is for questions directly asked towards me.

Don't take this the wrong way, but when people do things like that it ruins the sticky for everyone. Please refrain from that, or at the very least re-word your "comments" to be more proper. Thank you.

Secondly, yes I did mean to put 17%, not sure why I left out the 1. The picture is hard to tell, especially without hips/back/legs involved, but my assumption of 17% was based primarily on the lower stomach, under pecs, and outer hips.

Please disregard the 7% I listed, it was intended to be 17%. Not sure how I typo'd. I usually catch things like that.
