it's a good thing if you mean this and didn't actually bother to try
you wouldn't understand any of it anyway, so carry on

Ahh that's pretty interesting!
I see you're still on your cancer trip haha
but yeah, I've been taking curcumin daily for the last few months now since I actually just how fukn good for you it is

the main reason I'm taking it is for neural benefits but of course there's so many. IIRC I read about curcumin increasing synthesis and/or induction of DHA into neuronal cell membranes. Fish oil/DHA in the diet of course does this.. so I take them together to hopefully syngergize the interaction there.

DHA on neurotransmission: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3792211/

I guess what really got me interested too is talking to the neuroscience professor at my school. She got her PhD from MIT and actually has a drug to treat Alzheimer's on the market now.. and it's very simple. Consists of uridine, phosphatidylcholine, and DHA. Instead of treating the nebulous details like tau phosphorylation or amyloid beta, she's just taking the approach of rebuilding and giving the brain what it needs. Makes sense when we don't really know how to adequately treat it anyway as of now, just the symptoms.

yeah from an academic standpoint its actually really fascinating learning about cancer therapy. there are some really cool treatment modalities coming out, i find it amazing how close some researchers are seeming to come. have you heard of the group thats looking into IL-2/tcell/antibody combined immunotherapy? science can be so creative its uncanny

Went through a bunch of badass papers the past bit I haven't been posting in here. May have to go back and find the relevant exercise ones - including a few gems from da gawd Brad Schoenfeld too. As for now, as literally my primary interest is delineation into signalling pathways, this recent paper gave me a boner.

"Yes-associated protein is up regulated by mechanical overload and is sufficient to induce skeletal muscle hypertrophy"

full text available on the link

If you want more info on this Yes-associated protein (YAP) see this review article.. funny enough, I just began learning about and reading into YAP/TAZ & Hippo signal transduction a few weeks ago.
