Bumping this so it doesn't get auto closed again.

Back in April I fucked my neck up drunk wrestling with a buddy. I was pretty well bed ridden for a couple weeks. It's been close to 3 months now and it's still far from 100% but decent. CT scan with the dye showed no abnormalities. Only possibility left is I have heavily strained muscles in my neck. If I do too much it gets super stiff, especially in the mornings. I royally fucked my hammy 2 years ago and it didn't respond like this. The neck is a different animal I guess. With the hammy, it didn't hurt after 3 months but was just weak as fuck. My neck has all kinds of odd issues

Still floating around 160. I've had one workout since January. Work and injuries have kept me out.

And I lost my job because of the neck injury so that blows.

fun times lol

Well so begins the long road back on the horse. Real fucking sick of being a piece of shit and not being active and healthy

In the last 2 1/2 years I've had 2 significant injuries and now is the time to begin again after the second, my neck. Which as mentioned in an earlier post happened in April of this year

anyways... I have a home gym now so I really have no fucking excuse to not get back at it and start putting up respecable numbers.

I got this baby here, borrowed from a friend until next June until he gets back from Vietnam.

What you won't see pictured are 2x 50lb dumb bells, 40lb kettle bell, 65lb weighted vest, a bunch of bands and a few other things. This week I'm going to buy a preacher curl bar, 2x 45lb bumper plates, stretching mat and a bench. I need to get more dumb bells. I'll keep looking for em on kijiji.

As I get stronger and the weight increases I may just spend the money on the next set I need. Could get expensive quick tho... who knows. I really like dumb bell exercises tho so I don't want to do without them

For reference

This is me Nov 22 2014 @ 164lbs a week or 2 in to getting back in to the gym. In probably the worst shape of my life

April 19, 2015 170lb-ish first thing in the morning. At my biggest

After having been sick and changing my workout from strength to more endurance based for my firefighting testing. Leaned up a bit. First thing AM picture

Took the summer off from the gym right after this picture. Begin casually going to the gym again in September of 2015

Nov 26, 2015 post workout (evening) with a bit of a pump still. 166-7 evening weight iirc smaller than in the spring (not as lean either) and not as strong. But pumped so...

At this point I casually went to the gym until Jan 4, 2016.
Feb 2016 I got a job working out of town (literally in the bush logging) until mid april. No gym at all during this time
Injured my neck later in April. Didn't eat or fuck all and lost weight. I was largely bed ridden during this time.

Weight and picture are in the morning. About this time I started to be up and be a bit more mobile

I'm not in as bad of shape as I was 2 years ago this time but it look pretty close to the same. Terrible shape now. I'll take progress pictures once a month as a log.

Git er done. No excuses.

thanks sir

Ripped a little workout today. Felt fucking horrible, but good to get started. Nice long warmup and then squats/deads/ohp just to get the joints moving again. Very light weight for me, high reps.

I gotta figure out a way to get some cheap dumb bells and a tilting bench so I can do flat and incline bench and OHP. Although, I guess I could use a chair for OHP...
