but, we did a metronome test in one of my exercise science labs a few years ago..for men, 85lbs on the bar for as many reps as possible..had to stay on beat with the metronome (no speeding up, bouncing, or long pauses), and the test was over when you couldn't keep on it anymore...i got 76 or 78 reps or something like that..it was the most sore my chest has ever been from anything i've done, almost to the point where it felt debilitating for a few days haha
