Thanks!

Well, sent some forum gold for good work, not much though.

When I'm at it, my friend are just retarded, he says ''You are skinny, to gain muscles, you need fat first, the fat will become muscles then''

This isn't right, huh ? ^^

Thanks for donation, I added you to the donors list.

Also yes, he is very wrong lol...you do NOT need fat to build muscle

Hey raynor

I have a question, I workout at home and i have a bench and a barbell

and the barbell doesnt have those metal knots in them to show where the weight goes, so i got these clips that sort of block the weights from moving around

(my question is, how far should the plates be spaced out? because it seems like theyre too close to eachother, and i dont think im working my chest the right way)

http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/74/11/78/60/0074117860069_500X500.jpg

to be more specific, it doesnt have those nobs , i have to randomly try to even it out

Hey there.

Those types of bars you are describing are usually not very good for a number of reasons. However, to make do with what you have, I recommend you keep the weights approximately 6-8 inches away from the end of the bar. In addition, make sure it is 100% even on both sides (measure if you have to).

eventually I would recommend you guy a standard olympic bar.

Also, on the keto diet you said in meal 6 eat cottage cheese, I absolutely hate cottage cheese, can I just eat the almonds?  Or will I need a substitute for the cottage cheese?

Get Casein Protein Powder instead...make sure its a near zero-carb variety (as close to 0 as possible) - mix with water and have a few almonds with it.

The keto diet will GREATLY help him, as it is extremely effective with people who are near diabetic and overweight. Please try your best to help him follow this routine.

coconut oil any good?

yes! excellent source of MCT (medium chain triglycerides) - good fats, great tasting - consider adding to shakes (just not PWO shakes as you need as little fat as possible immediately PWO to aid in rapid digestion)

Ok, thanks man. One more question this diet looks like a high fat diet, how is it supposed to make me lose fat?

contrary to popular belief, eating fat doesn't make you fat.

The body stores excess calories (from protein, fat, or carbs) all as far if they are not being directly used or burned as energy.

Fat, which is the slowest digesting of all the macronutrients, will not spike your blood insulin levels and thus not increase the stream of nutrients being absorbed in the body.

When you consume carbs (particularly simple carbs or sugars) your insulin spikes and anything you are eating along with it becomes stored as fat more quickly if it is not immediately used for either repair, building, or energy.

Basically, carbs are the enemy of a lean body for the most part...not fat.

The keto diet puts your body in ketosis which uses fat as energy, and not carbs (glycogen). As a result, your body uses your existing fat stores as energy between meals and during intense workouts, thus maximizing your fat loss.
