How would 17.9% body fat look?
Should there any visible six pack? Just curious.
It says that it can measure bf% to .1% accuracy. Told me to do it same time every day under similar conditions because eating and drinking can slightly change the result. The scale send 1 mA of electricity into the body and measure the resistance, since fat has more resistance than muscle. My belly is starting to accumulate fat, especially the lower region, I can see my chest muscle, but the pec area also has some obvious fat.
I don't mean to question you or anything. But let's say would a 17.9% body fat, 5' 8'', 165 pound man need a cut?
If I posted up pictures of my body from different angles, would it help?
18% BF would not show visible abs in MOST circumstances. In addition, yes 18% is about time for a cut, I wouldn't go any further than that. But electronic testing devices are total BS and have been proven so time and time again. The angle at which you stand on the scale matters, the electrical node itself makes a huge difference, and of course the .1% is also total BS estimation on their part. Realistically, true bodyfat can only be measured within .1% using the underwater test. The calipers come close at around 1% differential. Electronic can be as much as 10% off depending on angles, equipment, type, etc.
Best to compare with calipers at LEAST before deciding. Also I can easily tell your rough BF by looking at you if you wish to post pics.
