Hey Raynor, I had a question for ya. I am currently attempting to do pure fat/weight loss at this moment and have been able to go to the gym 3 times a week while doing other minor exercises twice a week so staying active during the weekdays. I was wondering what kind of diet I should do because I was told that my calorie intake should be at roughly 2,250 calories a day. I was thinking to help with hunger, eat 5 times a day for roughly 450 calories per meal. I was wondering if that were a great thing to do as it would also boost my metabolism. Also, how often should I eat? I was thinking every 2 hours but is that fine or is there a certain amount of time you should have between meals? Also, for pure fat/weight loss what are some of the suggested intakes in regards to fat, carbs, sodium?

I'm taking supplements right now so yeah...that's a constant too. If you can help me out, that'd be great. Thanks!

6'3"
373 lbs
BMR (according to http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/): 3179.09
Goals: Lose 60-100 lbs by last week of August

Also, is it safe to lose 25 lbs in 5 weeks? I wanted to challenge/push myself (to be at 350) by the time I go out to New Orleans.

You can you approximately 5 lbs per week, so yes 25 lbs in 5 weeks is achievable.

Follow my anabolic cutting diet and you will see tremendous fat loss. If you feel your energy levels dipping too low, increase your daily fat allowance by around 25-40g.

Hey Raynor, is it neccessary to have a cheat day during keto? I don't really feel it is needed for me. I don't crave anything like that so I was just wondering if a carb day every 14 days is cool? Better for fat loss anyways?

You need a carb day every 7th day, no way around it. It is required for glycogen replenishing.

edit:

cheat day is not required, carb day is.

Hey SKC, have you ever heard about anybody who is actually "scared" of eating? Im in this dilema right now.. My daily intake should be around 2500 calories, but I'd be lucky if I got 1500... Any suggestions to beat this? Its starting to bother me.

wait so,
day 1-13 = no carbs
day 14 = carbs

Now should I go day 21 carbs? Or day 28 carbs? And do a two week cycle? If you say that you have to replenish it every 7 days then why do you go 13 days in the first part?

I am not questioning you I am just trying to understand :)

mind over matter my friend...you just have to do it. There is really no easy way other than to just make yourself do it.

You are only going 2 weeks without carbs on the INITIAL keto phase (this is a one time thing).

After that, you are carbing up every 7 days.

The first 2 weeks i taken to FULLY set your body into ketosis. Some people need more time than others.
