Hey Raynor. I am a few days away from my carb up day. I had a question. If I were to change up some meals on the carb up day, do I need to aim for only complex carbs? A mixture? I was just wondering if it made any differences.
Also, I was looking around some websites and I came across a website that said that a person with 180 pounds of lean body mass should be taking in 810g of carbs on the keto carb up day? wtf? It says that as long as the fat stays under like 80 or something you wouldn't gain any fat from eating that much either? They said this is what was NEEDED to fully refuel your glycogen. Opinions? I assume that is mad overkill but I thought i would ask.
Edit: And why do you recommend GAT jet fuel for a fat burner over anything else?
Also, is HIIT cardio THAT much more effective for fat burning than just jogging on the eliptical?
I am sorry for the extra questions!
for your carb day you need your regular amount of protein, approximately 40g fats (total), pretty much the rest from carbs. So for carb day, being about 500-800 cals more than a regular keto day, That puts you around the 400-500g of carbs area. 800 is extreme and that would be for someone around 250-275 lbs who is taking in a lot more calories. Your body does NOT need that many carbs to refuel glycogen....maybe over the course of 2 days it does, but not in 24 hs.
Next, any carbs...complex or simple, doesn't really matter....but you should be getting at least 50/50.
Jet fuel is just a very complete product that I have had a lot of experience with. It works very well and is also very inexpensive.
HIIT cardio is much better than anything else for fat loss. It also spares muscle loss. I highly recommend it. You can do it on the bike, eliptical, treadmill, stairs, etc.
