How does Diet Pop effect one's ability to cut weight?
I'm cutting now and I have a weakness for it, is it inhibiting my progress?
What would you recommend, I've been aiming for moderation

diet soda is fine for cutting - it has 0 cals and 0 sugars. The citric acid is also mild, but in rare cases can set someone out of keto.

So I've hit a decent weight, 170 lbs @ ~12% BF (5' 8 :D ) and I think it's about time I cut down
So far, the diet I've come up with is
Meal 1: 3 eggs with olive oil + 1 piece whole grain toast + 1 large fruit
Meal 2: 1-2 scoops casein
Meal 3: 8-10 oz chicken breast/steak + 1 cup broccoli/green beans
Meal 4: 8-10 oz chicken breast/steak + 1 cup broccoli/green beans
Meal 5: 2 cans of tuna on a salad w/ some olive oil
Meal 6: 1 scoop casein

Post workout, I'm thinking of a large fruit + 2 scoops whey isolate.
Any suggestions? :o

PWO should definitely be large serving of fruit + 2 scoops of whey isolate...I would keep it to 100% isolate and not an 80/20 blend.

what is the difference between standard whey and BCAA?

Whats BCAA's benefits?

whey protein is used for protein content and generally has a BCAA makeup (per serving) of around 5-10g.

BCAA by itself is JUST the bcaa and has very little cals/protein. BCAA comes in many shapes and sizes, but optimum nutrition bcaa-1000 caps are good. They allow your body to stay anabolic even when training for extended periods of time without nutrition.

do you ever get tired of getting asked the same questions over and over again lol?

Yes and no lol...I do get tired yes...but at the same time I realize that some people haven't had the chance to really go back through the thread and get the help they need. So now I just save the posts that I make that answer broad and generalized questions and post those links to people when asked repetitive questions.

Awesome, thanks a lot! I'll try out the fruit puree for a little while.
I'm just trying to switch things up, been doing banana/waxy maize for quite a bit now.

Doing my next show Sept 24th :) Hoping for 1st in the Men's Novice division.

thanks again

and two more questions:

how does lifting weights correlate with the release of endorphines (or is cardio more effective for this)

also: as a beginner, does is mean I got a good work out (yesterday I did chest) if when I was showering afterwards I could barely lift my arms?

or does this mean I overdid it?

Thanks

Lifting weights DOES in fact release endorphines - as does any physical activity. The more intense the activity the higher the endorphines, however that also means the higher the cortisol.

No, you didn't overdo it - that's a good sign of a good workout ;-)

will it give me gains in size? or should i consider a program to up my strength first and the try hypertrophy type as GVT? how's this all size/strength thing work.. increasing strength first than expanding the muscle cells with hypertrophy or?

you can just right into basic GVT. It is a volumizer that makes your muscles grow rapidly. You do not need to do 5x5 first, instead you can do GVT for 8-12 weeks then switch into a strength training routine like 5x5
