now what are the reasons split > fbw when trying to cut, doesnt fbw make you burn more calories and shit like that ?

No. FWB brings you to total muscular exhaustion to the point where you actually end up burning more muscle rather than fat. You want to PRESERVE muscle as much as possible on a cut. The overall goal of a cut isn't just pure calorie burning...if it was, everyone would simply starve themselves and do cardio.

The proper way to cut involves enough weight training to keep the muscles strong, calorie burning high, but ALSO preserve the muscle mass you already have while also cutting down fat.

It's a very delicate process best done in keto with equal amounts of cardio to weight training and making sure you do not OVERTRAIN.

just curious about ketosis, say I check with it and see that I threw myself out of it,  would I just stop eating carbs rest of day until im keto again?  Or is the purpose of it to know what food/supplements not to eat next time?

more or less...the key to using the strips is 2 fold.

1. You will monitor yourself once a week to make sure you are in proper ketosis (I recommend doing it the day before carb day).

2. You will check yourself if you think you ate too many carbs (anything over 20-25 for the day basically) - this will tell you if you had a reaction to less carbs but a specific item such as sugar or citric acid, or too many carbs in general.

Over the past year I have changed my life completely. I lost 120+ pounds and I am very healthy and active now. I run, lift weights, eat right (occassional cheat). However, I have all this loose skin.

I'm still 205-210 pounds..But, I'm not sure where I should go from here..It's really not motivating to look at the mirror and feel like you haven't lose any weight since youve started (shirtless anyways). I am planning on getting plastic surgery. However, there is not a set date and I'm not sure if I will be able to with the costs of everything. But, I'm not sure what I should do in the meantime..if I should try and bulk and gain some muscle to fill in the skin..or lose more fat..I've just been maintaining for the past 3 months.

I'll try and provide pictures tommorow so you can assess the situation better. But, I'm really not sure what I should do and could use some advice.

Hey there. You have 2 choices.

1. Go on an absolute terror lean bulk to the point where you keep gaining muscle until it fills in a good portion of the loose skin.

2. Get the surgery and THEN maintain or gain depending on what you want.

It would take you many years to gain 50 lbs of lean mass, so you would have to deal with the excess skin for quite some time.

Usually surgery is the only option here for immediate gratification (by this I mean within the next 5-10 years)

hey, whats the limit for vitamin D3? I'm taking 5000 iu with breakfast. If I take a multivitamin with meal 2 and meal 5, would it be too much?

5,000 supplemental iu's per day is what I recommend. It is not too much. Multi and regular food gives you barely any.

You will see your immune system ramped up with those 5K iu's per day...and will most likely RARELY get sick.

Most people I have taking 5K iu's per day have seen absolutely fantastic results.

Hey, I was just wondering how you felt about Intermittent Fasting. I am, of course, going to be eating properly. I'm cutting out grains entirely from my diet for the next few months.

EDIT : From what I've seen of your posts, I take it you're completely against IF? :P

Yes. AVOID fasting all together.

If you want to cut, that's one thing - but for overall health - fasting is not healthy in the least.

Cutting out grains is absolutely fine by all means. As long as you are getting sufficient protein, fats, fiber, nutrients, and calories - carbs typically do not matter (especially refined grains which are technically foreign to the human body as it is).

i like to boil my vegetables.. usually carrots or broccoli...

If i boiled enough for 5-6 meals. and refrigerate them.... does that kill the nutritional value or are they still good?

Thanks.

boiling defeats MUCH of the nutritional value unfortunately.

My moms an ER nurse, and she's legitimately telling me I'm not ordering any more creatine because some guy she treated had a seizure from it apparently? She's trying to say he had one, stopped taking creatine, took it again and had another one. Any advice on this stupid shit?
