What are your opinions on BCAA's?  I have heard different things about them.  What about during fasted cardio in the mornin?  Regular cardio in the afternoon?  During workout?  Whatya think?  Thanks man!

Hey there.

BCAA's are very important, especially during cutting.

I recommend at least 2-3g of bcaa upon waking up, before bed and pre, post, and intra workout (every 45 mins during workout). You can also take it between meals if you manage to go longer than 2-3 hours without eating.

do NOT worry about cholesterol.

the whole idea that eating a lot of cholesterol is a myth. That's like saying eating a lot of fat will make you fat.

Eating cholesterol and having high blood cholesterol have absolutely NO correlation.

You want to balance your fats properly...at least 2g of unsaturated fats to every 1 g of saturated fats.

Eggs actually have a perfect balance by themselves. You can eat as many eggs as you like - don't worry about the cholesterol. Just remember to eat a healthy diet in general, avoid trans fats, and keep your unsaturated fats TWICE what your saturated fats are. Also keep sodium to 2,000mg or less per day.

Is it okay to take 1 scoop casein + 3 tbsp heavy cream for pre bed meal on keto?

All the brands I take as cottage cheese have 8g carbs (6g sugar) per 1/2 cup which is a killer

nope, no problem at all.

eat all the eggs you want...they are a perfect balance of unsaturated fats to saturated fats - eggs are one of the most perfect foods you can eat. enjoy~!

yes, casein + 3tbsp heavy cream is perfect.

the best cottage cheese I have found is friendship brand 1% (pink label) and add heavy cream + peanut butter to it.

6g sugar per half cup is very high....so switch to the casein shakes instead!
