I used to wear them squatting 275+, then I realized I was using fucking sleeves and a belt just to hit 275+. So I regressed, ditched the gear and now I'm hitting 315 for reps raw, which is an improvement in itself.
Truth, I normally hit my first few working sets with no belt.. Usually 3 or 4 sets in, I’ll throw it on.
It’s definitely handicapped me though.
