Here are the results of my second powerlifting meet from yesterday. My 3rd bench and deadlift felt easy.

Nice pulls. Notice how your butt shot up a little bit soon? This could happen because of the following: Weak legs/quad (Back's taking care of the lift), setup (Bar not close enough/butt position/etc), Motor pattern (too used to lift that way).

I'd go with setup and weak legs. It should get better as your squat go up but try to get the bar as close to your shins as possible and starting the lift when your core is as tight as it can be.

Thanks Aube. I noticed greater use of my back now that I'm trying not to cave my knees. So definitely weak legs. I'll setup w/ bar closer to legs and tighten my core.

Competing seems fun as fuck, I'd do it only for the fact that people in my 66kg WC total 450-520kg

How should I modify it in prep for my meet? Also, I have 1 week after where I'm going to learn to sumo DL and front squat since I haven't used my fun week yet, then the week of the comp.

I hope you plan the set things up like this

Week 5
Week 6 Taper/meet
Fun week

On week 5 stop at 2-3 max. DON'T MISS REPS.
Week 6 -> Work up to 65% on squat/bench/deadlift on Monday for 5 sets of 3. Wednesday 50% on squat and Bench only. Rest Tuesday and Wednesday.

I've got one extra week though.
I'm starting week 5 next week on the 26th, and my meet is on June 21st.
So week 6 would start on June 2nd. Holy crap I derped this math hard. I've got 2 extra weeks between week 5 and week 6

Lol Justin you still have 2 training week (week 6-7) and have meet on week 8?
