Have not done them, but I'm getting ready to start practicing it..
I was reading about people who have tried this and said it works fantastically and their third eye was open quickly

And nope, I've never gotten random tingling sensations so to speak.. but if I sit still (eyes still open though) and just look blankly I'll get them. It's happened often playing xbox in between games

Yea it's probably because when you're looking blankly at something you realize your own subtle energies because everything else around you is zoned out..

e: if you have an increased spiritual level + smoke weed, you'll notice weird things and think in a strange manner, it's hard to explain, as if your senses are heightened, anybody have experiences with blazing then meditation right after?

Actually never smoked then meditated. When I've smoked it has always been with a large group. It's funny you mention this though, as 2-3 days ago I thought about smoking some by myself for actual spiritual purposes. Will report back with results lol

I tried to get into it a few times. As people said in the thread previously, it's hard to be consistent. I've read once that a scientific research proved that people meditating on a daily basis are more calm, which means it really works. I always tell myself I should meditate but end up never doing it :P

Awesome, skimmed through it and looked at table of contents, have you done the exercises in here though? how were your results?

I remember doing the chakra techniques in Robert Bruce's book Astral Dynamics, the tactile senses where you actually stimulate your nerve centers by "feeling" the sensations of energy and not just visualizing it and randomly I feel tingling sensations between my eyebrows, ever get this though?

e: btw if anybody's interested, this site has a lot of good shit on it about world religions and spirituality if anybody wants to look into it: http://www.sacred-texts.com/

Ok yeah I tried the method. Pretty insane. The last step was about attempting to move your astral body starting with an arm or something. My whole body was already tingling as I'd been meditating 15-20 minutes at this point, but when I tried to.move my astral arm a new feeling overcame me. Hard to explain lol. Like the most intense tingles/surges and it felt like a lot of pressure on my chest as well. Hard to explain at all what I felt but yeah it was crazy.

haha crazy, synchronicity happens sometimes, it's weird when it happens.

One time I blazed and meditated and I got strange visuals in my mind and was able to visualize my thoughts clearly, it's a weird unnerving feeling...I'd much rather do something based in reality after getting high because it trips me out.

The chest pressure thing is mentioned in the book as well, I forget but I think the author says it has to do with a not fully developed energy body and trying to project with it, but it's normal you'll overcome this chest energy surge.

Which method was it though?

e: to everybody else who is meditating, keep it up, consistency is the key as with everything in life

Just meditated for about 10-15 minutes. I actually lost track of time.

Sat down in another room that was dark and tried my best to clear my mind of random thought. focused on my breathing and closed my eyes to shut out distractions. I sat infront of the wall so that if i opened my eyes, nothing would cause me to be distracted.

felt really good. I felt weird sitting down on the floor and had to post up against something. I didn't realize how tense I was until I began to relax my shoulders, traps, legs, etc.

Going to keep meditating. I feel much more relaxed and focused afterwards.

Just meditated for 15+ minutes.

Had visions of being in Japan with a beautiful girl and having kids with her.

Was relaxing and happy, and then I fell asleep. I feel the exact same as before, however, now that I've woken up and come back to reality.

/e Definitely going to do this more often though.
