Posted a thread, but was told to post here.

I used to lift years ago, on my own, nothing serious. I did this for 3/4 a year straight on my own equipment at home which consists of a bench and some free weights to do curls with. I managed to acquire a fairly tone body, and I was hoping to gain weight while I did all this. Needless to say I never did gain any weight. Six years ago when I was lifting I weight 140lbs at the height of 5'11". I am now the same height and only weigh 145 lbs. I would like to start lifting again and bulking up, preferably maintaining the tone I have at the same time.

I don't have the cash to buy more weights / equipment or even a membership to a gym. I have the following to work with:

A bench that allows me to bench press, incline press, leg curls, and squats.
255 lbs worth of free weights
A barbell and dumbbells

As for my diet, I have no set diet, that's probably my greatest set back. I don't know how to cook / prepare food too well so any advice on simple meals, and a diet plan would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently starting out low on weights to get back into the habit of lifting.

I'm lifting 3 sets of 15 at 115 lbs for bench
3 sets of 25 at 20lbs for single arm curls
And 150 crunches

Now that you know my current routine, any help with adjusting it, adding to it, and even dietary help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

David

Hey man.

I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
I´m 6 feet tall and I weigh 178 lbs.... I´m looking for a way to trim some fat and cut up existing muscle.

I´m wondering if you could help me with an exercise plan I can do at home, and maybe help me pick the right food to eat?

What is your opinion about ZMA? You think it works? Because I randomly read that (not a valid source or anything but it grabbed my attention) :

Quote
Your body is a homeostatic machine. When it chemically or hormonally moves away from where it wants to be, and where it's designed to be, it moves back.

So you're inactivating your SHBG? You body is going to maintain its ratio of free test/bound test. No change. You're taking precursors or co-activators in the test production pathway? Your SHBG will be upregulated, or your aromitase will be upregulated. No change.

AAS works because you're dealing with many, many times the natural physiological test level, and it's not endogenous.

Also, would it be efficient even if :

I take my ZMA, and 60 minutes later I take a casein shake (that will be loaded of calcium)?

Im curious as to how you went about becoming certified as a trainer as well as getting your degree in nutrition. What all was involved? How difficult were the classes? After gaining certification where do you go from there? Im just curious because i am interested in doing this, but i was looking at a physical therapy degree until i was told by someone (dont know if true) it is a 4 year degree and a possible masters before you can do anything with it. I was mainly interested in personal training though.

I recently had an extremely unfortunate incident happen in my life - I can not help anyone with their fitness queries for an unknown period of time. Sorry for this - but I can not control fate.

more information to come.

Okay lets seee. I'm no nutrition expert or anything like that but.
My Stats.
5'9
195-205 (I don't weigh my self often)
18 Years Old

All I'm looking to do for now is lose fat. Mainly on my thighs/stomach. I don't have access to a gym or equipment. Just some minor dumbells and a park close by to run at.
I work at a pizza place so it's also a little bit harder to maintain a diet. But I'm willing to commit as long as I have something to follow. If you're willing to help me ofc I'd be willing to pay tongue.gif
