How important is sleep? I know around 8 hrs + is preferred, but what if I go to the gym at night and only get 5-6 hours sleep, is it better to not go to the gym at all or will I still get positive results? (just not as good as if I had gotten 8 hrs sleep)

Sometimes I sleep 2-3 hours middle of the day, then go to the gym in the evening and at night I get maybe 5-6 hours sleep, does my "siesta" make up for the loss of those hours?

To make a long story short...for every 16 hours awake, you require approximately 8 hours of sleep. Basically a 2:1 ratio of awake to sleep for a positive recovery balance.

If you choose to stagger your sleep 5-6 hours and then 2-3 hours naptime...that is technically not as good as 8+ hours at once because of the REM sleep you encounter after 3-5 hours of sleep have gone by. The most important sleep is the pure REM sleep which gives your body the most bang for the buck so to speak.

It would be preferable to get 8+ hours straight...although if you can't work that out, staggering it 5-6 and then 2-3 later on is better than nothing.

You can still go to the gym on 5-6 hrs of sleep (with or without the nap) although your muscle gains and/or fat losses will be greatly hindered. You also will increase risk of injury, increase risk of getting sick, and increase the aging process of the body by putting it through excess stress without sufficient recovery time.

Drinking protein powder after my workout at gym. I mix it with water or milk :O ?

If milk, then I must take from home, and have it with me whole time during school, which mean it will get warm ^^

But water isn't that much worse, right :D ?

Yes!

Taking fish oil with every meal helps you balance your good fats, increase your basal metabolism, improve your circulatory system health, and even reduce inflammation in the body.

2 capsules with every meal is best.

NOW! super omega 3-6-9 is one excellent choice (which actually mixes several kinds of oil in one) - but there are also other brand out there that are pretty good

Actually - water is PREFERRED to mix with your shake pre and post workout! When you mix a shake with water, it will be digested MUCH faster than if you mixed it with milk. Digestion time of milk is anywhere between 4-8 hours for full digestion. For water, the shake actually digests within 15-45 minutes.

I only use milk in a shake if it is pre-bedtime and I am making a casein shake for slow digesting proteins to keep my body fueled throughout the night.

I've done this like 2 years now. i've got stronger and so but still i have my overweight left. can the problem be that i consume too much carbs that my body doesn't get rid of all my fat? i eat healthy and doesnt reach more than 5g sugar / day.
