Literally just google squat technique, read a few links, all / most will e accurate
Just YouTube squat technique, watch a few videos, all / most will be accurate unless it's a clear troll
Look around your gym for people squatting, compare their tehnoque to what you've seen in vids,
An trainers at your gym? Grab them aside when they arnt busy an ask if they can quickly show u the technique, I'm sure they'd be more than happy.
Main things to keep in mind: knees should never bend in front of your toes, u are sitting back on your heals. On that note a really good tip is don't wear running shoes, running shoes are slanted and designed to 'push' you forward by making you lean forward, this is your worst nightmare. Wear flat shoes or if unavailable go bear foot / socks. Keep chest up, look forward not down (sometimes hard when learning cos you're making sure knees and toes lines up) back should be straight and tight, bar can be anywhere that feels confortable to you. Protip - feel free to use the cushion when u are first trying but don't post pics of it here or flame will unsue, plus dat feel when u first do it with no pad, badass.jpg. Youl never look back.
As a general tule you want to be going down atleast parallel, I and many here will preach all the way down, when doing in front of the mirror your balls get squashed up and mashed together, gives the girls on the treadmill a good look, oh yea and it will make you way more flexible over time, and atg (ass to ground / grass) will become easier.
Learn da form with no weights just the bar, youl soon master this (2 sessions imo). Put on whatevernou want (light) then put on a little more, youl probably find this is 'easier than just the bar'
Having it heavier helps your balance esp when starting, and if u go back to no plates youl probably find it harder than with plates, it sits on your back better IMO and can't really describe it but u feel overall mote confrtabke with something on it
Gl hf, and pepper your angus for a feel unlike before. (sore legs for 5 days straight)
