Welcome to the world of slow ass natty gains

Take your 1 rep max, if i told you in 2 and a half years you could now rep it for 5, would you be happy?

For Americans: 200 kg = 440 lb. 140 kg = 308 lb

no I wouldn't be happy if I was going consistently for those 2 1/2 years

However, your stance changed from the first video to the second video. The first video was a powerlifting low bar wide stance. The second, much narrower but high bar too I think. Huge difference in difficulty between the 2, so you're not giving yourself quite the credit you deserve

Stance has considerably narrowed, but its still low bar position. Camera angle makes it a little awkward to see

Progress was fast to begin with, slower afterwards but its kewl

i don't want to be an internet coach... but i will for a second.
you need to stay over the bar longer and keep driving. after watching the first rep i though you had mobility issues but the other ones didn't show that.
stay over the bar long, drive/push through the ground longer, and pausing in the receiving position might help you wrangle in some of the extra movement you seem to have when you finish.

e: I'm sure/hope the coaches there have been saying that!
followed btw lol

I'll keep that in mind. I'm pausing at the catch on one of my other days. Training is still pretty general and I'm mostly working from boxes still. I'll probably work with my first weight from the floor after a month or so.

My coach is really good! As an athlete he went to 1984 and 1992 Olympics and as a coach he's bringing 7 of his athletes to Junior worlds this summer...a first in Canada's history!

Can anybody recommend a good bench workout? I'm slowly increasing my bench, but I feel like it is soooo fucking out of proportion..

Squat 385 x1, doing sets of 315
Dl 415 x1, 2x3 of 365
Bench 165 3x5, 1rm probably around 185?

Bench is usually 25% of your total, yours is like 18.5% which is way off

What's your weekly schedule look like? There are lots of things that can help you but will depend on what you're currently doing and what you've done in the past
