Hello SKC,

I'm doing an oral presentation on steroids for my final project.

For which type of person or infections/disease/etc steroids are useful?

Thank you!

There are many types of steroids all with different purposes. I think you are referring to ANABOLIC STEROIDS which are the ones used by bodybuilders.

Anabolic Steroids are useful to the following:

1. Middle aged men or older who have highly decreased testosterone production
2. People with certain types of anemia.
3. People with certain hormone imbalances and disorders.
4. Women with breast cancer.
5. People with angioedema.
6. People with HIV and other immune disorders/diseases.
7. People with muscular dystrophy
8. People with severe vasculitus and rheumatoid arthritis.

The list goes on, but that's just some of the good ones off the top of my head.

I heard drinking cold water helps you lose calories because your body utilizes the calories to warm the water up, is this true? If so, is it also applicable to just being generally cold?
Also, I've heard drinking cold water after a meal slows your digestion and isn't ideal for fat loss, is this also true?

Cold water does in fact aid in the burning of more calories and increasing your basal metabolism.

drinking it pre/post/during eating doesn't have any proven effect on slowing digestion.

I think I would need some help with my diet, I don't think I get what I need.

Height - 175 Cm
Weight - 60 Kg

I wake up at - 6.30 am and eat breakfast. Usually just some bread and choclate milk.
Eating in school (I get food in school as I live in Sweden, so I can't really change what I get there) between 10.30 am - 11.30 am.
Starting working out directly after school between 2.00 pm - 3.30 pm depends on when I quit, it's different every day, but latest is 3.30 pm.
Coming home around 1-2 hours after I have workout, so about - 4.00 pm - 5.30 pm. Then I eat what mom or dad have cooked.
Before bed I eat something about 8.30 pm - 9.30 pm. Depends on when I'll get too sleep, but usually something between that. Sleeping somewhere between 10.00 pm - 10.30 pm.

What I going to do is to buy some Whey Protein Shake, had before - and took it right after I was done with workout. So I'll get about 30 grams of protein right after gym.

Need some help, thanks!

hey there.

For breakfast, try to eat a larger meal with more protein and complex carbs. To do this, you can continue to have chocolate milk and bread, however, you need to add eggs or meat and oatmeal or granola. 2-3 eggs + 1 cup of oatmeal would be fine...IN ADDITION to your bread and chocolate milk.

At school, if you have no control of the meals, then theres nothing I can do there.

Right BEFORE you work out at 2-3pm, you you take a 30g whey protein shake and an apple.

Right AFTER working out at maybe 3-4 pm you drink ANOTHER 30g whey protein shake and eat another apple and drink at least 300-400 ML of chocolate milk

Then eat whatever your parents have cooked, but encourage them to make meals with a good helping of meat for protein in addition to the usual carbs and veggies

before bed you should be eating 200-250g of cottage cheese w/ peanut butter or nuts + cinnamon (for taste).

Also make sure you are drinking at least 4 liters of water per day.

Could you formulate a little list of all the small tips that help with fat loss. Desperately trying to cut these last 8 pounds for wrestling. So far I've gathered

- Ankle weights throughout the day
- Cold water
