i dont squat my heart out, mainly because i have no spotter, also because i dont care for my legs how i should.

we had squat comps at my school for soccer, 350's what i go to before i dropped out.

Use safety bars. I've never needed a spotter for squatting in my life.

i use safety bars but its still good to use a spotter lmao at a high weigh i wouldnt wanna drop it on the bars looks stupid but i honestly woulndt care i jsut wuoldnt wanna pill the weights off and throw it back up and plus ur in chance of big injuries

Broseph, I think you're missing the point of what I said. I meant safety bars make it so you can go as heavy, and as hard as you want ( aka 'till failure if you want) and not worry about being stuck.

Well, I set the safety bars at 2nd lowest, at the bottom of my squat, the bar's ~2" above it, I've had to drop the weight a few times, once in a completely dead silent gym with 20 old gramma's and gramps. When you got the weight on your back, and you're stuck, your priorities change ^_^. That said, yeah, you kinda do look like a goofus when you clank it.

sarefty bars are good

i was known in highschool gym as the guy who would roll foreward at ATG spot of squat, i would like do front somersault and weight would end up on safetybars, my natural escape i guess
