I've held a guys hand while he screamed on the ground because both of his knee caps were behind him after a missed squat, I've called a guys wife because he broke his back, ever hear a tricep tendon snap or seen two pecs turn black after a double pec tear? How about kidneys shutting down in a hotel lobby after a 50 pound weight cut. Most of society can't understand that this bar is a 28.5mm bar with not the best tensile strength. You can look and see that these big rubber plates extend out all the way until the end of the bar... This absolutely makes the lift a completely different lift. Your starting position is better because of where the plates/bar comes off the floor... You also have less bar to grip with and then you'll be able to again, have a better starting position and have better lat engagement. For lifters that consistently use a DL bar most of them think "Ahh it's just a bar, it's the same weight" or "It may only just take 'x' off but it's still not that big of a deal." ... NO YOU'RE completely wrong, it's an entirely different lift and if you were to try to lift on a "29mm bar with a higher tensile strength" you will absolutely be humbled. Speaking about near 1RM range not completely submaximal (75%-) Along with that stop saying "stiff bar" when you're talking about a junky commercial gym bar... That's not even comparable to a Rogue OPB/Eleiko. For anyone that competes on a DL bar you should add in another day where you pull on one of those two bars I just mentioned, any kind of technique flaws will be exposed. Hey guys, no video unfortunately, but hit a new PR at 315x6 on the flat bench (touch and go), after a 3x3 with 315 at ~180lbs body weight. I'm pretty happy with it considering my training frequency has become pretty limited :thumbsup:
Glad to see you guys are still killing it :)

Edit* Also got 335 for a 3x8 on skwaats, which are still really shitty for me

So my shitty old shoes finally fell apart in the middle of a squat yesterday... The side blew out, was all wtf..

Went and bought a new pair today of Reebok Nanos, they're comfy as fuck and I cant wait to try em out tomorrow... Always hurts to spend money though.
