Only after trying steroids should you ever try creatine.

I mean, if you're serious about your shit you'll inject 4 creatines a day from day 1.

You can probably get 350 now m9

Goal on bench is 353 in 49 Days!

Goals are to hit: 245x1 bench, 295x1 squat, 335x1 deadlift, 175x1 OHP.
OHP is probably unrealistic, but I'm confident in the rest!

Yeah 175 is a bit high compared to your bench goal imo but goals are goals. The progression will be there if you hit the gym hard and stay consistent for weeks/months/years

Nobody answered my question earlier about whether OHP is still in major comps. By the way, I think it should be, regardless of issues over form. Just get good judges who understand good form and it should be doable. OHP > BP imho. Not for upper body strength but b/c it's such a big kinetic chain movement that it's a great measure of total strength.

Never heard of ohp in a comp, never knew it was really a thing. But I don't even compete, maybe aube or ladsy (hnf's top PL competitors) will chime in.

I missed your comment for some reason.

Odd question but do any major strength comps still use the overhead press? I know it went out of fashion when the Olympics cut it out, but it's such an important lift. Do you do a lot of OH for your upper body training or do you stick more to the bench press?

Also, there's a debate I have seen about vertical bar path in the bench press. You have a fairly long moment arm in your own bench press, but, minus the arch, my form has always been more like yours than a perfectly vertical path. What are your thoughts on those who try to teach a completely vertical bar path?

btw gz on the squats above. Thought they looked pretty good. I'm still waiting to get my squat back, was doing 360x10s before the big concussion, then got back to working with 345 before I slipped my fekking disc (basketball related) and then got covered in poison ivy. A comical parade of horrors.

Overhead press used to be part of olympic lifting but they stoped using that lift because it was hard to judge with the lifting leaning back a LOT.

I Overhead press 1-2 times a week after Bench as an accessory. (I bench 3 times a week)

Thanks! Hopefully I can get a pr with room to spare for my next 2 big meets!! Gains come from consistency and not getting injured...then programming. ;)
