Oh really?? I remember someone saying "the only time your foot is ever allowed to move in comp is after you lock out a sumo deadlift and you need to turn your feet in to not smoosh your toes

You wont be given the squat commanf if ur feet are still moving, and if the judge is being especially gay he will not give you the rack command if u finished ur squat and ur still moving around a bit

Grtting called for feet movement on bench is really common, never seen it or heard of it being an issue moving mid squat

Ok, that's not a problem then. They just make Romaleos with spikes in the bottom of them

Yeah, if I really focus hard on screwing my feet into the ground (heel, outer ball, inner ball) it stops that. But if I dot focus on that it does turn out slightly during the lift, which I think is a red light in comp :(

Lmao u fuks

I would try a slightly wider stance, feet just outside of shoulder width. Watching Aube's comp, I saw his feet were just outside his shoulders and he had complete ankle stability.

But even watching a few of RyanDyerProtein's vids, you could see his ankle slightly turn out as yours did, though not as dramatic, especially considering his are slightly angled out in the first place.

Yeah, but Aube is a lot girthier than me. I've got very narrow hips. Helps a lot to squat with my feet closer together

some people just impinge all day if they pick too narrow of a stance and it creates a lumbar flexion issue in the bottom of the squat because their pelvis cant move past their femur, some people have the same issue but because of tight hammies and not the former

I feel like Duffin's lifts are so under appreciated. If his bench was on par with his squat and deadlift he'd be a real force on the competitive level.

the deadlifts in particular were motherofgod good imho.

pretty sweet that he's at a point where he can't fit enough plates on the bar, but i was more interested in his technique. he made those look easy.

The narrower I go the less lumbar flexion I get. When I used to squat outside of shoulder width my lower back would round every time I hit depth. I feel way more comfortable/stronger with a narrow stance once I got used to it
