I think that post was lost a while ago. There's no such thing as a good concussion dude, even seemingly mild ones do long term damage and make you a lot more susceptible. It's a slippery slope, once you have had one you're doomed to repeat concussions

I agree, but there's often a big one that makes the point rather powerfully. I'm not splitting hairs with you, because you're correct.

I still drive to the basket and go up for rebounds but I almost cringe thinking about it.

Strangely enough, I retired from basketball to avoid major injuries but most of my worst injuries have been from post-retirement (form most sports) hoops. The decision to play again wasn't difficult because I love the game, but this is definitely the last concussion I'll take before full retirement from basketball.

There was a topic with posts of tons of articles in it. I don't recall the name but it was really good information. If there are a few article-based topics, I'll take any links and know it when I see it :)

I managed to get through years of contact sports (football, rugby, hockey) -- even playing at a fairly high level -- for years without suffering a"bad" concussion. But this one nearly killed me. Whiplash, two vertebrae out of place, hip all screwed up ... all from a cheap undercut from a dirty opponent when I was driving in a pick-up basketball game. I'm still not great with bright lights and my memory has some weird gaps in it. That's unfortunate because I have always been known for my ridiculous long-term memory. /personal wall

vids? dunno bout that

You want a vid of me pulling sumo then conventional? I can do that today during my warm ups. I can barely break 140 off the ground conventional, but can rep it out for 10 on a deficit sumo lmao

4 plate squat. Would've like to have gone a bit deeper but I was nervous as it was the first time under that load. Lol

Bench setup is getting a lot better, finally managing to get my quads into a position where they're going downwards and feet tucked behind my knees. Feels A LOT more stable, and I'm able to get a lot more leg drive and a better arch! Hopefully hit 97.5kg for a double next week!

Dude.
If yiu start to flex your abs and focus on your core when you're benching.
It will make it all around more solid.
