Yeah its sad. People should think of the greater good.. Thats why when i vote i vote on whats best for America as a whole, not my individual preference.
They're incapable of independent thought, it frightens them to consider. They just want to be accepted by the masses, going along with "consensus", no matter how ridiculous it is.
It makes them feel like the world will go on without their input, so they can do whatever they want.
It's one of the reasons why democracies can never work, the majority just try to please others - despite the fact that "social justice warriors" (people who constantly point out "racism", "sexism", etc) never question their own arguments to come to a rational world view. They never question because they think their point of view is that which is "right" and most agreeable, when in reality it is just the opposite, they create the conflict, they accentuate the problems.
The people like those in the video feel that they are doing their part in simply pushing the rhetoric of their peers. All else is unimportant, the more "qualified" people will take care of it.
