Cutting carbs doesn't magically cut fat.

It depends on the entire caloric intake. You can still eat a surplus of fat calories if you cut carbs and still gain weight.

You don't have to cut carbs on a cut, in fact if you want to stay away from lethargy and keep your lifting numbers relatively stable its preferred to keep carbs higher.

I waited 2 months before my first real cheat. Had me a big bag of butterfingers, a bunch of cheezeits, 2 quest bars, 2.5 peanut butter sandwiches, 2 glasses of milk, I felt so pregnant it was ridiculous. Woke up the next morning looking the exact same, workout didn't geel any different.
