Yes, it's an opinion. Doesn't matter how hard you try to twist words to make yourself sound right and righteous. It's still an opinion.

I took them for 3 months and honestly had I known the effects were so god damn fucking potent, I'd have started early and done them more often. I don't have to be competing and frankly I was wearing hoodies back then. I never trained for shallow reasons. It was always about seeing how far I could go. No matter what I do, it's the mindset I have.

You sound like a cocky self-entitled person. You're probably in that IQ sweet spot where you're just BARELY intelligent enough to realize that the mass is stupid, but not quite intelligent enough to understand that you're not so bright yourself. It's great that you share your opinions, but don't act like they're facts.

i'm so disappointed to learn users in this forum are just as bad as all those little shits in the diablo 2 forums.

clueless, judgmental, and egomaniacal.

At least I got a laugh out of this thread.

You passed judgement.
You have the biggest ego in this thread.
I am quite certain that the extent of your medical background comes from WebMD.

Choose bodybuilding, not strongman.
Do roids. Start early.

Not if you stop training after.

I think things would've been a lot different had I done step one.

Nothing against roids, but I can't wrap my head around the opportunity cost in favor.

Granted, I haven't researched the side effects in depth because it's not for me. But what can roids provide that are worth the side effects? Unless you are top in the world, doesn't give you money. Sure, you become huge, but what's the point? Please help me understand what makes roids worth it for some people :)

Is it for being the best at something? It seems there are many other paths to do this that have less resistance.

Well I can't speak for others because for some it could be shallow reasons and for others not at all.

In my case, it's about being the best I can be. I wanted to see how far I could go. If you do some research and don't waste too much time on biased papers, you'll see that steroids (like any other drug) can be beneficial if taken in proper doses. It has helped sick and wounded people for many years. The real issue is abuse or lack of knowledge when taking it. The only side effects I was affected by were the lack of energy post cycle, a mild testicular shrinkage during the cycle and the amplified mood during the cycle. By amplified mood I mean it amps up whatever personality you have originally. I typically have a short temper, so on roids I could get upset at fairly meaningless things. If you're a calm person to begin with, you won't really see a difference. If you're aggressive, you'll be even more aggressive, etc.

A bad post-cycle treatment or a heavy abuse of doses is what gets you all those pictures online. Flat out idiots with bad hygiene and half a brain thinking MOAR IS GEWD DAWG. They take double/triple doses of various steroids from shady laboratories for years on end and the public blames steroids when they get bitch tits, insane acne scars and kill their families.

If I take a truckload of sleeping pills, I'll die. Yet that's legal. Frankly, people see steroids as a bad thing because it gives a flat out competitive edge, so you'd essentially be forced to take them to compete and that's never a good thing. Even with steroids being illegal, people will go to great lengths to be at the top and that means abuse. In my opinion, steroids for recreational, personal use is absolutely fine. So long as you know what the fuck you're doing and understand that the more you take, the greater the risks.
