Burbank, CA, is right by me.  If it's the rail station I think it is (right off I-5, by the Olive St. exit,) it's SUPER easy to get on the tracks.  With the added noise of the freeway right next to the tracks, real easy to get clobbered by a train if you're not careful.  Tough break.

Police are saying he was trying to out run said train. And it was laying on its horn.

Hard to feel bad for a guy when Darwin takes over TBH

Most are saying he was on the track itself, tripped, got ran over.

As an engineer for CNR ( Canadian national railway) its pretty frustrating hearing a story like this. Hear about this every single day, people fucking around with trains. Unless it`s light engines (Just the locomotives itself) the stopping distance is a long time. Hard to feel sorry for people who mess around like that, especially a story like this in broad day light with someone who was completely aware of what they were doing.

I could see that happening. Got a pump going, just done curling for the girls, feeling thick and tight, outrunning the train just fine, feeling invincible as the train is honking at you, wood piece on the track gets in the way of your foot, on the ground, train ko.

...HAH. Irony. Just saw this quote from Plitt:

"Every action has a purpose.

When every action has a purpose, every action has a result."

So, the action of being on the train tracks is...?
