Btw, to the bros suggesting healthcare costs thousands of dollars a month, it doesn't. It's only a fraction of that. There are tons of plans and even though they are a bit more expensive than if you got them directly from an employer, it's not as crippling as you guys make it out to be. It might be a 30-40% increase in what you'd pay with an employer (which in the grand scheme of things isn't shit considering your compensation). Source, I know several people who do this.

at this point in time?

2500 per week

invest 1500 into long term savings/high dividend stock
750 into savings for emergency (i.e vacation, health, any unexpected expense)
250 - to shoot the shit with.

+ would still keep my job to make even more and have more financial security.

I never said it wasn't a lot. I said it's not as much as some of these people think. The people saying they will quit their jobs, retire AT 35, Dan B status.

up here in Canada lottery winnings aren't taxed so bam, free 6 figure wage for nothing.

In all seriousness what I would do RIGHT NOW if I got that, is I would quickly pay off my debts, hire a good personal trainer and get my ass in shape. I'd still fulfill my life ambitions (become a structural firefighter).

Probably get some more schooling. Get my EMR, DZ licence, in prep to build my resume for firefighting to make me more of an asset for a fire department to want to hire me. fix my fucking truck. after things are settled, buy a house.

Typical shit everyone wants to do. I wouldn't live extravagantly and I've learned I'm not particularly happy when I put off my ambitions so I couldn't let money slow that process, it ideally should expedite the process and make my life more fulfilling.
