Are you serious or not? Do you want everything to work the best it possibly can? Are you willing to quit drinking because you want to be the best? Are you willing to do that?
People claim they workout, but that's far different than training. If you train, you do not drink. Maybe a glass of wine with dinner once a week. That's it!
If you are not willing to do that, then you might as well just accept working out for fun and always wondering "What if?"
Now If you are only drinking 1-2 Beers a week, its not going to do anything to you in a negative manner. Actually may be beneficial to you to be honest.

you act as if its black and white. drinking occasionally at weekends won't do shit, even top athletes do that. but ofcourse its mandatory for those hobby athletes who will never ever accomplish anything with their body anyway.
but if it makes you happy, go ahead, but stop brabbeling such nonsense
