No, that is normal. Those carbs are from lactose. however as long as you are only getting 20-25 carbs per day total it isn't a big deal. Pre-bedtime cottage cheese with 3-6g carbs (depending on 1/2 cup or full cup) is no big deal.

I personally like to do 1/2 cup cottage cheese + 1 tbsp peanut butter + 2tsbp heavy cream + 8 almonds on cutting

What do you mean by heavy cream? Like what brand do you use

I use stonyfield organic Heavy Whipping Cream.

Heavy cream is literally just the cream separated from the milk. It is extremely high in fat and calories and should just be used to add fat to things that don't have enough fat when you are on KETO. An example would be using it with cottage cheese or a protein shake. It tastes great though, like liquid whipped cream. (which is basically what it is...you can whip heavy cream and make home made whipped cream)

What are you're thoughts on these exercises?

http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/Splenius/WtNeckExt.html

I tried them and they didn't feel that bad.

Although some people need them, I have never had a necessity for pure neck exercises. I rely on trap work to beef up my neck. Good forward shrugs with dumbbells or barbell are optimal for building a good neck. However if your neck is sluggish compared to other muscles, doing independent neck work is a good idea

traditional power cleans vs. olympic style 'squat' cleans...

for the past few weeks, i've been incorporating both styles into my training (goal -> explosiveness). i have also started my clean and jerks this past monday. i'm curious about two things:

-should i do both variations of the clean?
-what supplementary excercises should i be performing? i.e hangcleans, front squats (already doing them), snatch, push press, etc.

though i'm pretty clear on the path i need to take, any intellectual input would be appreciated given the fact that i'm coachless atm.

Hey there. If you are PURELY trying to gain explosiveness...then you are going to want to focus on snatches, hang cleans, power cleans, and standing gorilla presses aka standing push presses (with explosive rep style, not slow reps).

If you are doing traditional olympic lifts, you need to train differently....

but going on your original query of "explosiveness" - go with my above comment

for example a straight bar can be used for triceps pushdowns with palms up and down or
with a grip like this (pic) palms can also either be up/down
does it have a diffrent effect on the muscle?

oh for pulldowns.

You can use a palms down grip or a palms up grip.

The difference is more focus towards the inner vs outer head of the tricep

I usually like to do both...and if you're doing 6 sets, 3 of each would be recommended.
