I would recommend you stick to a fast-twitch plan...that means do reps with FAST and EXPLOSIVE on each exertion, and slow and controlled with each relaxation. So example, on the bench press...when pushing the weight up...push it up as fast as possible...when letting the weight down, let it down as slow as possible.

I would stick to a 3 day training week like this: (this plan is assuming that you are going to be dedicating a LOT of time to soccer - so I don't want to give you too much of a gym workload)

Mon - Chest/Back/Bis
Tues - OFF
Weds - Quads/Calves/Hams
Thurs - OFF
Fri - Shoulders/Traps/Tris
Sat - OFF
Sun - OFF

At the moment no, not too much soccer but I hope to have a lot.
Thank you for the split, I'll definitely give it a go

Yes definitely see a doctor about it. However, a good product called vasopro exists that will actually help you a lot. It's ephedrine based with guaifenesin (an expectorant) which actually helps open your airways and thwart asthma during activity.

See a doctor anyway, but that product is OTC and can help you.

Thanks a lot. I'll go pick some up tomorrow. Thanks again =]

can't do PM's right now, sorry man. I'm excessively busy with school...moreso than I think I ever have been. I only have approx 1 year left of actual med school before I move into specialty training which includes residency/internship.

before I rate the workout...what is your exact series of goals?

It all depends what you're trying to do...

depends on what you're doing.

if you're training for a marathon, you need to practice on the surface you'll be running on.

if you're training for cardio, sand is the best to run in because it works the hell out of your legs at the same time as hammering your cardio.

if you're training for endurance and you want to preserve your joints, go for mulch or grass for more cushioning.

if you're just running a few times a week for improved cardio...you can use pavement...but just make sure to get a good pair of running shoes...I use nike shox (not the best) but with good insoles and 2 pairs of socks
