Just ordered P90X with everything it involves. (Chin-up bar, resistance bands and free weights that I mostly already had back home)

I wanted to know, even though the program is pretty complete, would you have any advice to give me in order to lose weight efficiently and get some muscle tone aswell. (mostly nutrition wise)

Thanks

the p90x program should come with a pretty good nutrition plan. the basics to nutrition are to

eat between 100 and 500 calories MORE than you burn in a day to gain weight - if you do resistance training, it should help build the most muscle with a surplus of calories, though fat gain is likely
eat between 100 and 500 calories LESS than you burn in a day to lose weight - if you dont get enough protein/amino acids, you will likely burn muscle for energy instead of fat stores

there are several formulas to find the how many calories you need to break even, it has to do with height/age/weight/how much physical activity you do

P90x comes with a meal plan. You'll see when you get it, it's all laid out for you.

Hey, skimmed through your thread a bit but couldn't exactly find what im looking for.

I'm:

13 Y/o
5'11
170

I'm looking to first get rid of fat, than build muscle, or both at the same time.

I'm looking to mostly target my stomach and arms.

This is for basketball, and just to be more fit in general.

I'm looking for a meal plan and a workout plan.

I can buy weights and such if needed.

Get back to me soon, thanks in advance :).

so i was wondering, if for example its late at night and im a little hungry and go to sleep am i being a headcase by freaking out about it or is this really effecting me? like is it nessacary to have food in me AT ALL TIME(probably a stupid question...)? i was thinking especailly when i go to sleep that if im not full with food, im pretty much wasting alot of the work i do in the gym

If you are hungry before bed, get yourself a bedtime snack. You're trying to gain weight, so try not to let yourself stay hungry.
Don't omgwtf panic, but keep yourself nourished. Almonds, cottage cheese, and foods of that nature are great to top you off before bed.
I usually put it down with a glass of milk when Im bulking.

Do you think that AAS are overhyped by the media and everything?

Are they that harmful to the body ?

Is it worth it?
